ABOUT DR. BRANDON WILEY

Dr. Brandon Wiley is a seasoned educational leader with nearly three decades of experience transforming learning environments and developing innovative educational programs. Currently serving as the Chief Academic Officer at The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain in Las Vegas, Dr. Wiley oversees all PreK-8 academic programs and leads key initiatives including Project Based Learning, Challenge Success, and supporting a nationally-recognized Design Technology program and Design Labs.​

 

Prior to his current role, Dr. Wiley served as Chief Program Officer at PBLWorks (formerly Buck Institute for Education), where he led the expansion of professional development services that reached nearly 35,000 educators nationwide. His executive leadership experience includes positions as Executive Director of the International Studies Schools Network at Asia Society, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at West Seneca Central School District, and Senior Director of School Development at Springpoint.​

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Wiley has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, curriculum development, and educational innovation. He has successfully led the design and implementation of competency-based high schools, guided district-wide initiatives focusing on 21st Century skills and global competence, and developed comprehensive professional development programs for educators and administrators. ​A published author and thought leader, Dr. Wiley contributed a chapter on "Leading for Global Competence" in the book "Leading the New Literacies" and has written numerous blog posts for Education Week on topics ranging from educational leadership to global competence.

 

​Dr. Wiley earned his Doctorate in Educational and Organizational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds multiple certifications in school administration and education. He has presented at prestigious conferences including ASCD, Deeper Learning, Learning Forward, and Harvard Global Think Tank. He was a member of Cohort 4 of the Deeper Learning Equity Fellowship. ​As an educational consultant, Dr. Wiley brings his rich background in leadership development, program design, strategic planning, and curriculum innovation to help schools and districts improve outcomes for all students. His collaborative approach and commitment to equity ensure that educational organizations can navigate change effectively while creating meaningful learning experiences.
